The Bluebonnet Horse Expo is almost here!

We’ve got just a few more days to go until the 5th Annual Bluebonnet Horse Expo, and I know many of us at Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society are excited!

This year we have ten contestants in our Third Annual Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge – with bigger and better prizes going to the winners. We have over 55 horses, at least one mule and a couple of donkeys coming and hoping to find forever homes. We have fantastic artwork for sale as part of our Bluebonnet Art Show, and we’ve got great saddles, tack and other items for sale in the live auction, silent auction and sale area.

I hope to see you at the Expo on Saturday – the weather will be perfect and it’ll be a great day of horses and fun. Come out and join us!

2011 Bluebonnet Horse Expo

This year marks the 5th occurrence of the Bluebonnet Horse Expo – and each year we just get bigger and better! So we hope you’ll join us on October 22 from 9:00am – 7:00pm for a day full of fun, education, friends and horses.

The Bluebonnet Horse Expo is a fundraiser, friend-raiser and adoption event for the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society (BEHS). BEHS is a 501(c)(3) equine welfare organization that helps abused, neglected, abandoned and stray horses across Texas. This year has been particularly hard for the rescue and the horses of Texas, and we hope you’ll come out to the Expo, learn, some and help us help horses. You might even find your next equine!

We are still looking for donations of new and gently used tack, farm and ranch equipment and horse, western, farm or ranch-themed clothing, home decor and jewelry. Donations of these items are tax deductible and they will be sold during the live auction, silent auction and sale area to raise funds for the horses of Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society.
