Donate to the Bluebonnet Horse Expo & Rescue Horse Training Challenge

The Bluebonnet Horse Expo & Rescue Horse Training Challenge is our only annual in person event, so its success is critical to our ability to help horses. Donations to the Expo & Challenge drive will allow us to care for formerly abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses at Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society and also take in more horses who need us.

Because we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 84-1673775), donations made to our Expo & Challenge fund are tax-deductible.

Donors can be either businesses or individuals. They do not receive advertising, promotion, or other sponsor benefits but may receive event tickets, be listed in the Expo program and/or website, and may receive Bluebonnet merchandise in exchange for their donation. Donations are tax-deductible as Bluebonnet is a 501c3, tax-exempt organization (Tax ID: 84-1673775). Learn more about donation opportunities.

Donation Guidelines

We appreciate anyone who thinks of us with a donation of horse trailers, tack, or other items. However, so that we can best handle donations, we have a few guidelines. All items should be:

  • For use with horses, on farms or ranches or barns, or horse/farm/ranch-themed.  Please no donations of left over garage sale items, home goods, clothing (unless it is show clothing).
  • In good repair. Please no ripped blankets, broken saddles, rotted halters, expired medications, etc.
  • Reasonably clean. We don’t mind cleaning off some dirt, dust, or mold, but please don’t send us items with caked mud or staining or items that smell bad.
  • In matching pairs. Please don’t send one spur, one boot, one rein or bridles made up of mis-matched parts.

Thank you for helping us make the Expo a success and helping us raise funds for the horses who need us.

Email us if you would like to donate advertising or items. Donations are tax-deductible since Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) organization.
